Did I tell you, I love African Print!? I buy most of my African print clothing from street vendors in Africa or from an amazing online website called ÖFUURË. I identify as African American and, although I am not certain which
country my family originated from, I have always had an interest in my roots. I believe many African Americans struggle with identity because we cannot pin-point where we come from and the culture we have established here in North America is often appropriated.

This is why I believe I have always had a key interest in traveling to the continent of Africa and am obsessed with the culture and traditional clothing. I have visited 4 countries in Africa: Morocco, South Africa, Namibia, and Senegal. Each of these countries is very different from the another and all have a special place in my heart.

First, I purchased a beautiful South African jumper from Cape Town’s Green Market Square that was embroidered with many different colors and patterns. Second, I acquired beautiful African print fabric from the rural parts of Kavango, Namibia. Third, I traveled to Mali, Maldives where I wore an ÖFUURË yellow and red OTA African print set which was one of my favorite outfits. It was made with high-quality African print wax fabric and is 100% cotton. Last but not least, I obtained a neon yellow and purple NINI Pant Suit from ÖFUURË as well. You can find @ÖFUURË sets at www.ofuure.com\ and locate them on their Instagram social account: @ÖFUURË.
